Perspective entre tradition et modernité. On joue des materiaux anciens. On retravaille les codes.

Reinterpreting the language of the Provençal house to create a true family home.

Behind the house’s seemingly effortless appearance lies a major architectural restructuring. The floors were repositioned and completely rebuilt, the roof replaced and every opening reconsidered. On the ground floor, the structure was redesigned to create entirely column-free living spaces, opening generously onto the new terrace and the garden, which was also completely redesigned.

The project was developed around a deliberately traditional vocabulary, without ever seeking to reproduce it literally. Timber windows, terracotta, cement tiles, polished concrete, zellige tiles, rattan and timber flooring upstairs form a palette of familiar materials, reworked through more contemporary formats, patterns and combinations.

In the walnut kitchen, as in the bathrooms and bedrooms, this dialogue between old and new continues: materials have depth, details remain intentionally simple and certain Provençal references are shifted or reinterpreted.

The terrace and landscape naturally extend the house outdoors. The entire project was conceived as a generous, lively place for a family to gather throughout the seasons, with the feeling of a house already deeply rooted in its landscape and history.
